Deadly Device

If you are a fan of the games like I am, I'm sure you know that tomorrow is the release for the newest Nancy Drew game, The Deadly Device.

I am one of those people who don't like pre-ordering games. I know you get it sooner, with more bonus features and all, but I like the idea of actually going to the store and buying the game.

The only problem, is that I don't know where I am going to get it.

Ever since Trail of the Twister came out in 2010, we have made a tradition of going to Target the day of the release to get the game. I did it for that game, Secrets Can Kill remastered, The Captive Curse, Alibi in Ashes, and Tomb of the Lost Queen. I didn't do it for Shadow at the Water's Edge, because we had something last minute come up, and we didn't get it until that Friday (Oct. 22nd. Hey, that's today!)

Anyway, when we went to get Tomb of the Lost Queen when it came out last Spring, we went to our Target in town to get it, but it wasn't there. The Lady looked on her computer, and said they hadn't received it yet. So, we drove about an hour away to the closest Target that did have it.

So, my mom went to Target yesterday, and while she was there, she asked it they would have the game Tuesday. They looked, and like last time, it wasn't on their list.

They wouldn't know for sure until tomorrow if any other Targets in the state would have it. So, tomorrow morning, mom is going to call Target, and see if they have anymore information about it.

I am really excited to play this game. And since Walmart doesn't carry the games anymore, if Target stops too, I don't know where I'll get them from now on besides the website itself.

But, we won't know anything more until tomorrow. Sooner or later, I will get the game. But if I get it tomorrow, No one knows. ~Samantha

Tomb of the Lost Queen Input (Halfway Through)

So, I have been playing Tomb of the Lost Queen for about a month, and I wonder what you all think about it. I am not finished with it. I decided to take my time on this one, so PLEASE don't spoil it for me. Anyway, I do like the characters in this game. Especially Lily and Dylan. The other two are alright, but I don't like Abdullah's  anger problem, (He reminds me of Dr. Craven in Creature of Kapu Cave) And I don't know much about Jamila. She seems okay, but very vulnerable.

Nancy: I think I saw something by the tomb!

Jamila: You did?

And she walks away. If you don't know, there is nothing by the tomb. Nancy just wants to snoop in her stuff. If you come back 30 seconds later, she is back again, and you can say the exact same thing to her. And do you know what she does? She goes and looks...even though there was nothing there the first time around!

Lily is an interesting character. She seems to be hiding something. (But don't all suspects?) I like the way she looks. Her hair is pretty, and I like how it sorta moves when she does. (I'm weird, right?) I also like playing the board game with her. But, she doesn't seem to trust Nancy. At least not at the beginning. But so far, I really like her.

I also really like Dylan. Besides the fact that he is funny, nice, smart, and well...cute, he also has an accent! lol I'm just kidding. Well, I am, but I'm not at the same time. Anyway...I don't really know much about him. I know that he is a tour guide, and that he wants more than anything to go inside the tomb, but isn't aloud because he isn't certified. I might change my mind about him as I progress in the game. But for right now, I like him.

So...Once I finish the game, I will let you know what I think about it. And who know? I might decide that I like Abdullah and Jamila better than Lily and Dylan! But even if one of my favorite character's turn out to be the culprit, (Don't tell me!) I will more than likely keep them as my favorite character. That has been the case in a few of the games. (DOG, CUR, TRN, ASH...)

Anyway....That is my input as of this moment.

Has your favorite character ever been a culprit? Which game? (Please no spoilers!)

Happy Sleuthing!

The Captive Curse

Today I finished "The Captive Curse." And I have to say that I really like it! I think that it is probably my new favorite out of all the games! Since I am at least 75% German myself (Both of my mom's grandparents, and my dad's father's family is also German) I thought it was fun to play a game that took place in a Country where my family used to live.

The game is super fun, and scary at the same time. It wasn't too scary, like SAW, where you weren't sure if something was going to jump out at you at any minute, but it was plenty scary when you knew that something scary was about to happen. :)

My favorite Character was Lukas. He is SO cute! I am guessing he is probably 10 or 12 years old. He is the son of the head of security at Castle Finster, and the nephew of Anja, another suspect/worker at the castle. He is always playing pranks, and wanting to play games with you. I think that he, and Jane from CUR would be good friends!

If you have any thought about getting the game, I would defiantly recommend it! And easily give it 5 stars!

Thank you for reading!!

What Secrets Can Kill Would Have Looked Like

Her Interactive just posted this video on YouTube. It is what the original Secrets Can Kill game was going to look like. I actually think that I like this version better than the one that they choose. But I believe that if they choose this one, the game would still be just as fun, and just as weird. :p I am glad that they showed this. I love learning about the history of the games, and see as much behind the scenes as I can about the games.

Thank you for reading! ~Sam

Sorry!!!

Hello Detectives!!

How are all of you? I haven't really been playing Nancy Drew very much latley, for a few reason. The first reason is...School.

I am burried deep in school projects. Since it is almost the end of the year, I have had to work hard to get done in time for me to start 10th grade. I am almost done, I have less than a unit to do in my subjects, but then...my computer decided to overheat on me. (All of my school is on the computer) So now all my school is put on hold until my computer gets fixed. (Which should be today, or tomorrow)

Reason 2...Sims

Another reason why I haven't been playing latly, is becasue at the beginning of spring, I got Sims2. It is very addicting. So, when I have free computer time and I am not on Twitter or Facebook, I am playing Sims. Which is also on hold, becasue of the computer breaking. So...that is why.

But summer is almost here!!! And so during the summer, I will have much more time to play the games!! (Including The Captive Curse!!) So excited!!!

Anyway, Thats it! ~Sammy
